It’s a boy! Un po’ di Bruce-nomi per il Royal Baby

Tutti a fare le felicitazioni ai duchi di Cambridge per la nascita del futuro re d’Inghilterra (se l’Inghilterra avrà ancora una monarchia quando tutti quelli in linea di successione prima di lui saranno schiattati), tutti – almeno gli Inglesi – a scommettere sul sesso e sul nome del nascituro.
Ora che sappiamo che è in salute e che è un maschietto (sul “bello” preferisco attendere di capire a chi somiglia, prima di pronunciarmi), possiamo pensare a un nome per il pupo.
Io lo chiamerei Brucespringsteen. È fine e non impegna, pur essendo altisonante quanto basta: Brucespringsteen Mountbatten-Windsor, o più semplicemnte Brucespringsteen Wales quando andrà a scuola.

Certo, sarebbe stato infinitamente più semplice se fosse stata una bambina, ma non si può avere tutto.
Dopo Elisabetta – che tutti dicono intenzionata d abdicare in favore del nipote, ma che a me sembra attaccata alla carega come un assessore di provincia -, l’Inghilterra è destinata ad avere un semplice re per parecchi anni.
Certo, non è necessariamente detto che sia un male, ma se pensiamo che, anziché una meravigliosa creazione della Giraffa, il neonato erede è destinato a indossare l’agghiacciante completino inviato in dono da Shimon Peres, la vita del piccolo principe è tutta in salita.
